How can you tell if your radiators are filled with air?

Noises emanating from your hot water radiators might be a sign that they are filled with air. Typically, hissing or bubbling sounds will emerge from your pipes if your radiators have air trapped inside them, as well as creaking and vibrations as water tries to bypass the air to heat up your radiators.

Another indicator of radiators having trapped air within them is when they are warm at the bottom but get gradually colder towards the top.
