The planned UK gas boiler ban will affect newbuild properties from 2025 and beyond, with low carbon alternatives to be required instead.
At the time of writing, there are no plans set out to outlaw the presence of gas and oil boilers in existing homes, though fresh UK heat pump grants will become available from April 2022 onwards, encouraging homeowners to switch to renewable heating options such as air source heat pumps.
