Dual fuel towel rails work by the use of an electric heating element in addition to a home’s central heating system.
This is done via the inclusion of a T-piece adaptor, which allows the user to add a heating element whilst plumbing the towel rail into the central heating system at the same time.
Unlike ‘standard’ heated towel rails, dual fuel devices will work without a central heating system via an electricity supply only if necessary. So, individual dual fuel heating components can warm up on their own, separate from those relying on the central heating system for power.
