Do heat pumps have special requirements to work with radiators?

FAQ banner image

Heat pumps have no real special requirements to work with radiators, although good quality insulation is favourable, plus the presence of underfloor heating in addition to large, powerful home radiators.

Typically, both ground source and air source heat pumps will deliver low flow temperatures, so for the best results, heating solutions that span a larger surface area than needed when used with gas boilers, are preferable.
