Radiator Valves

Radiator valves are an essential bit of kit that will help to add that important finishing touch to your new radiator or heated towel rail. Practical as well as stylish, BestHeating stock a wide collection of radiator valves for all shapes and sizes of radiator and heated towel rail. You can rest assured knowing that you’re guaranteed to find a radiator valve that will complement your heating system, regardless of style, build or finish.

Radiator valves are an important component to any central heating system and come in two main types; thermostatic and manual. Thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) control the temperature of the radiator by regulating the flow of hot water running through it. Each TRV contains heat sensitive gel or liquid that contracts and expands depending on the dial setting. By manually adjusting the heat settings with the dial, you are able to cap the maximum temperature in your room.

Manual radiator valves are smaller, do not have a dial, and offer a neat, minimalist look. Like TRVs, they control the temperature of the radiator and the water flow running through it, but do not have a dial that restricts the radiator to set temperatures. Instead, it works like an on-off switch and allows the user to turn off their radiator without turning off the central heating system.

Unsure of whether to get angled or straight radiator valves? Angled valves are for pipework that comes from a wall, while straight valves are for pipework that comes from the floor.
